Gloria Jones - “Tainted Love” (1976). This makes the Soft Cell version look like, well, a soft sell. I was out having lunch with Scott Hoffman last Tuesday and this came over the speakers. Thankfully, Scott was quick/smart enough to ask the waitress what the song was and promptly download it.
